The Black Queen, who was briefly exiled to her living room, is back and in charge of...wait for it...Community and Parent Development. Sage thinks that means she will be going around confiscating condoms - to develop more parents. Silver thinks it's another misguided Duchy appointment. Silver's comment "Would seeing that face encourage you to go forth and procreate?"
The town crier reported today that the Duchy is still using stone tablet technology. Well, duh! After all there's way more stone in town than there are things like wifi and Smarty Boards and the School Bored does prefer to buy local, preferably really local, like a cousin or brother in law or whatever. Besides, after the Black Queen and the Lime Green Knight spent all that time lolling around the resort pool, they had no time left to make smart technology decisions. There's no money left in the budget for teachers, copier paper, new wiring, more bandwidth. Of course there is still enough money to pay for the Black Queen to confiscate condoms and to pay a librarian NOT to work because sometime in the distant and shadowy past he irritated a principal and that kind of offense can't be forgiven. Wait a minute, he can't go to work, he can do whatever he wants, and he still gets paid!! Who do I have offend to get that kind of job!
