I forgot how overwhelmingly male the Duchy is. Of course, the Duchy doesn't want its, ah, shortcomings discussed in public. I did notice that in the preliminary examinations by the Destiny Doctors from Follay, when the question of district, uh, infrastructure came up, the Duchy shuffled it's feet, looked shifty-eyed and said "No, no, we don't have any problems with our..., with having..., with that." The Destiny Doctors were pretty explicit and said "You've never experienced any episodes of Connectile Disfunction?" "No, never!" responded the Duchy, "Well, only once, and we had been poisoned with some bad electrons at the time."Television tells us hourly or even quarter-hourly that there is no longer any need to suffer from CD. If the Duchy would only get over itself and get some help, then we could all be like one of those happy couples on TV, holding hands, gazing into a sunset... from a bathtub on a dock?!

Heaven forbid a WOMAN might have an opinion, might speak up.
Throughout time, if people -didn't- speak up, imagine where we would be now??
Is it a matter of gender or job which is causing problems?
Message to everyone reading out there, male or female: Quit sitting back and relying on the same people to stand up and speak! Yes it is uncomfortable to do, but there are nice ways to get your point across and it just isn't fair for the same people to have to always have to be the ONES.
I'm going to bet that both of the previous comments were written by uppity women. Despite any advancements to the contrary, men are for the most part unwilling to admit that women can -- and frequently do -- think circles around them. Especially when it comes to the detail work. If we're going to get through this year with any amount of sanity intact, we need some way of forcing SOME people to leave their egos at the door. *Sigh* However unlikely that is.
