Dotland is a hive of activity
With the new IDEA all the Dots are busy as bees. Unlike the Black Dot Queen, the new IDEA seems to believe that libraries are about information. She has put all of the Dots to work flitting from place to place, gathering information, sorting it into compact, easy to access packets and storing it in the Web for libraries to use. What a concept! We were never sure what the Black Dot Queen believed libraries were about. Based on her actions, she seemed to believe that libraries were about to be GONE.

Many times the dots tried to tell the Black Dot Queen that even though we didn't see her plan clearly (or sometimes at all) that we were a work force to be used. She turned her nose up at that notion. How dare a bunch of dots try to tell her what to do! Then she began to see that the dots did know. They predicted the mess and quandry that plagues Libraryland now. Did she admit her error? Only mumbled in passing. Did she take steps to correct anything? Not until the White Queen went BONK, BONK on her head. Now that IDEA has come, Dotland is a place of quiet activity and working well with others. Now we'll see how well the Black Dot Queen's whining and complaining about Dotland holds up in the face of collaboration.
A happy Purple Dot
